Greenhill Produce recognizes that Food Safety is
an important aspect of vegetable production.
Therefore we utilize a GAP program audited by
Guelph Food Technology Center as mandated by the
Ontario Greenhouse Vegetable Growers
Association.
In addition to this audit, we have numerous
daily, weekly, and monthly checks covering all
areas of our operation to ensure every aspect of
our facility is up to food grade standard.
Traceability is ensured through our labelling
system: each pepper is PLU coded and includes a
bar code as well as Country of Origin and
greenhouse identifier. The boxes are also
identified by size, weight, facility and date.
Herbicides are not used on our product, and
biological control is achieved through our
Integrated Pest Management program. |
