At Greenhill Produce we are committed to producing high quality red, yellow and orange sweet bell peppers.  Our high-tech greenhouse structure allows us to control most aspects of our plants’ environment; we are able to “baby” our peppers, giving them exactly what they need in order to ensure proper size and colour, as well as long shelf life.

We have initiated a Food Safety program which is monitored by OGVG and audited by Guelph Food Technology Center (www.gftc.ca).  In addition, we control insect and disease pressure through our Integrated Pest Management program and bio-security measures. 

We are continually experimenting with different varieties of peppers and growing techniques; we are always looking for ways to improve our operation and strive for the best product we can provide.

Of course, growing the product is only part of the process here at Greenhill Produce.  We ship 540,000 boxes of peppers per year that cover a wide range of sizes, but we specialize in XL production (185-255 grams).  Approximately 75% of our yearly production falls in the XL category.  Each pepper we ship is weighed before being individually inspected and hand-packed into a box. 

We know it is impossible to grow perfection, but it is our goal to ship perfection.
